Pangu Highway: New Road Linking Port Moresby and Lae Opens Papua New Guinea

Pom Lae Pangu Highway Papua New Guinea has entered a new chapter in its history with the opening of a major road connection between Port Moresby and Lae . For decades, travelling between Papua New Guinea's two major cities by road was not possible through a direct route. The new Transnational Highway has now changed that situation, creating a historic connection through some of the country's most difficult and remote terrain. The highway has been given the name Pangu Highway , a name intended to represent unity and the joining together of different parts of Papua New Guinea. The route connects the National Capital District with Gulf and Morobe provinces before reaching Lae.
